What does my poster represent?
A watercolor illustration of your child’s sign: a little animal, above a sea of clouds, sends its star into the constellation of their sign, drawn from the actual positions of the stars (Hipparcos catalogue). The moon appears as it was on the day they were born. Their name as the title and a little story, with their date and, if you wish, their city of birth, tell the tale of this first day. Two moods to choose from: Night or Twilight.
How is my child’s sign chosen?
We calculate it based on the Sun's actual position at the time of birth, using Swiss ephemerides. The sign appears below the form as soon as the date and place are filled in, and the illustration, constellation and story change with it.
Why is the time of birth recommended?
It allows you to draw the moon exactly as it was. Above all, on certain days, the Sun changes signs during the day: for a child born that day, it is the time that determines their sign. Without the time, the calculation is based on noon. In France, the time is recorded on the birth certificate.
Does the preview exactly match the poster I’ll receive?
Yes, as for the poster itself: the preview is designed by the same program and with the same layout as the file sent to print. The frame shown around it, however, is only an illustration of the chosen color: the actual frame, with its molding and plexiglass protection, may differ slightly. Take the time to check the spelling of the first name, the date, the time, and the location before ordering.
What paper is it printed on?
On 200 g matte art paper, with rich colors and very crisp text, without glare.
And the PDF version?
You will receive an email with a link to download your poster as a high-definition A4 PDF: you can print it at home or have it printed in sizes up to A3. There are no additional costs or delivery times.
How long does it take to receive my poster?
Each poster is printed to order at the workshop closest to you, then shipped within 1 to 4 business days with a tracking number. Delivery time then depends on the destination: generally allow 5 to 7 business days in France and Europe, 2 to 3 days in the United Kingdom, 4 to 15 days in the United States and Canada, and 10 to 15 days for the rest of the world.
I ordered an Astrabook and a poster: will they arrive together?
No, they are made in two different workshops. You will therefore receive two separate packages, each with its own tracking information.
Can I modify my poster after placing my order?
No: your poster goes into production as soon as the order is confirmed. This is why the preview shows you exactly what will be printed. Carefully check the name, date, time, and location before confirming.
My poster arrived damaged or never arrived: what should I do?
If your poster was damaged in transit, send us a photo at contact@astraedition.fr and we’ll send you a replacement free of charge. If your package hasn’t arrived within the stated delivery time, please contact us as well: we’ll track it down, and if it still can’t be found, we’ll send you a replacement. We can’t offer a free replacement if the address entered when placing the order was incorrect, so please check it carefully before confirming.
Can I return my poster?
Each poster is custom-made using your information and therefore cannot be returned. In France, personalized goods are excluded from the right of withdrawal (Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code).
